Built around twin, side-by-side Iwerks 8-perf 65mm cameras, the Iwerks/HydroFlex 3-D system is the smallest, lightest large format underwater 3-D package available. On-axis twin dome ports correct the dual 30mm lenses for the refractive effect of the water while maintaining the lenses' original field of view.
A DeepSea Power & Light Multi Sea Cam external color CCD camera provides a parallax corrected image to a 6.4" color monitor for setting up the shot. Camera sync, footage and battery info are displayed on an external remote box mounted on the underwater monitor. A Preston Underwater F I & Z Controller in conjunction with in-sync motors on both lenses allows the underwater assistant to adjust iris and focus.
Convergence settings are adjusted by moving the camera Right base plate. Settings for 15 ft, 30 ft. and infinity are marked.
Surprisingly easy to move through the water, the housing can be maneuvered by a single diver.
