Pepsi "Bike" commercial- Green Screen Sony Saucer tank, Sony Studios, Los Angeles.
Photo Credit: Chip Matheson. Plates of underwater scenes were shot in Nassau, Bahama and
then green screen photography of a bike rider was set to the underwater plates to give
the illusion the bike rider is touring underwater. The green screen was lit by the sun
and with two HydroFlex 4K HMI's to bring up the exposure level at the bottom of
the screen. The bike was mounted on a pedestal and turned and tilted to match the plate
topography. The illusion of movement on the actor was accomplished by using an underwater
scooter to creat a water current to interact with talent's hair and clothes, and by
moving the camera, the illusion is that the bike is moving, not the camera.
