Inflatable Camera Float

The Buoyancy Compensating Camera Float allows the operator to adjust the float level of the housing by inflating or deflating the outrigger type bladders. It can bring the lens anywhere from just under the surface, to a 50/50 split level or lifted all the way above the water line to put the audience right in the water with the characters. It greatly stabilizes the camera even in a pitching sea.

A sliding base plate and standard quick release plate are integral to the system to adjust front to back placement of the camera and allow for easy installation & removal. Air can be added to the bladders from a SCUBA tank or by mouth & lung power.  Underneath the float is a system of webbing straps and carabiners that are used to attach a weight (typically a shot bag) to add more stability to the rig and keep the camera upright.
